In Friday's non-league match, the host Austin Packers softball team scored a tight 10-9 win over the Kasson-Mantorville Komets.
The Packers (8-6) will now prepare for their match against John Marshall (Rochester, MN). The Rockets come into the Big 9 match with a 1-6 record.
In their next game, the Komets confront the Lake City Tigers (Lake City, MN) in a Hiawatha Valley match, on Tuesday, April 29. Kasson-Mantorville will attempt to better on its 5-6 season record.
