In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Montague Wildcats softball team scored a nice 22-14 victory over the Big Rapids Cardinals.

The Wildcats (4-10) will now prepare for their match against Mason County Central (Scottville, MI). The Spartans go into the Western Michigan match with a 2-5 record.

In their next game, the Cardinals battle the Central Montcalm Hornets (Stanton, MI) in a Central State Activities Association-Gold match, on Saturday, April 26. Big Rapids will attempt to better on its 3-5 season record.
