The Hunterdon Central Red Devils edged the visiting North Hunterdon Lions softball squad by a count of 3-2 in Friday's league challenge.
Next, the Red Devils play the Bridgewater-Raritan Panthers (Bridgewater, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, April 26. Hunterdon Central will attempt to upgrade on its 10-0 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 8-2 record after their 7-3 non-league win over Franklin (Somerset, NJ).
The Lions (6-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Roxbury (Succasunna, NJ). The Gaels enter the non-league challenge with a 6-3 record. In their last challenge, Roxbury was nudged by The Pingry School (Martinsville, NJ), 5-2, in a non-league challenge.
