The St. Mark's Spartans softball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting Red Lion Christian Academy Lions to 1 in the Spartans league win on Friday.

The Spartans now possess a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sussex Academy for a non-league battle on Saturday, April 26. St. Mark's will confront a Seahawks team coming off a 10-8 non-league loss to Milford (Milford, DE). The Seahawks record now stands at 7-3.

With the loss, Red Lion Christian Academy moves to 4-2 on the season. The Lions host Sussex Tech (Georgetown, DE) to confront the Ravens in a non-league battle on Saturday, April 26. The Ravens come into the battle with a record of 4-5. Sussex Tech lost 11-1 in their recent league battle against Cape Henlopen (Lewes, DE)
