The Dixon Dukes & Duchesses baseball team scored 17 runs and limited the visiting Byron Tigers to 2 in the Dukes & Duchesses league victory on Tuesday.

The Dukes & Duchesses (11-1) will now prepare for their match against Winnebago (Winnebago, IL). The Indians go into the Big Northern match with a 9-5 record. In their last test, Winnebago was overwhelmed by North Boone (Poplar Grove, IL), 15-14, in a league test.

With the defeat, Byron falls to 13-4 on the season. The Tigers travel to Rockford Christian (Rockford, IL) to battle the Royal Lions in a Big Northern test on Thursday, April 28. The Royal Lions come into the test with a record of 9-5. Rockford Christian lost 8-7 in their recent league test against Stillman Valley (Stillman Valley, IL)
