Illinois High School Baseball - Knoxville nudged by Monmouth United

The Monmouth United Red Storm nudged the host Knoxville Blue Bullets baseball team by a tally of 6-5 in Tuesday's non-league bout.

The Red Storm now hold a 12-5 record. They take the field next when they host Abingdon/Avon for a Prairieland bout on Friday, April 29. Monmouth United will face a Tornadoes team coming off a 9-8 league win over Wethersfield/Annawan (Kewanee, IL). The Tornadoes record now stands at 10-5.

Next, the Blue Bullets face the Brimfield Indians (Brimfield, IL) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, April 27. Knoxville will attempt to advance on its 8-8 season record. The Indians enter the bout with a 18-2 record after their 17-0 league win over West Prairie (Sciota, IL).
