The Marissa Meteors baseball team scored 11 runs and limited the host Valmeyer Pirates to 1 in the Meteors league victory on Tuesday.
The Meteors (3-1) will now prepare for their match against Breese Central (Breese, IL). The Cougars go into the non-league match with a 22-3 record.
The Pirates (3-12) will now prepare for their match against Steeleville (Steeleville, IL). The Warriors go into the Cahokia - Kaskaskia match with a 12-2 record. In their last match, Steeleville ran past New Athens (New Athens, IL), 2-0, in a league match.
