In Tuesday's league battle, the visiting Swain County Maroon Devils soccer squad scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Cherokee Braves.
The Maroon Devils (8-2) will now prepare for their battle against Murphy (Murphy, NC). The Bulldogs come into the Smoky Mountain 1A battle with a 5-5 record. In their last battle, Murphy nudged Hayesville (Hayesville, NC), 5-1, in a league battle.
The Braves (1-7) will now prepare for their battle against Highlands (Highlands, NC). The Highlanders come into the Smoky Mountain 1A battle with a 7-2 record. In their last battle, Highlands nudged Swain County (Bryson City, NC), 3-2, in a league battle.
