Virginia High School Soccer - Amherst County nudges Liberty

Amherst County Lancers (Amherst, VA) fans went home happy Tuesday as they saw their soccer squad get by the host Liberty Minutemen (Bedford, VA), 2-1 in a non-league test.
The Lancers now sport a 6-1 record. They play next when they travel to Jefferson Forest for a non-league test on Wednesday, April 27. Amherst County will meet a Cavaliers squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Brookville (Lynchburg, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 6-2.
With the loss, Liberty drops to 3-3 on the season. The Minutemen host Staunton River (Moneta, VA) to meet the Golden Eagles in a non-league test on Saturday, April 30. The Golden Eagles come into the test with a record of 0-10.
