Prairie Heights Panthers (LaGrange, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host DeKalb Barons (Waterloo, IN), 16-12 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Churubusco for a challenge on Tuesday, May 10.

With the loss, DeKalb falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Barons host East Noble (Kendallville, IN) to battle the Knights in a challenge on Wednesday, April 27. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 0-4. East Noble lost 22-2 in their recent league challenge against Huntington North (Huntington, IN)
