Arroyo Knights (El Monte, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host El Monte Lions (El Monte, CA), 15-6 in a league challenge.

The Knights now own a 17-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rosemead for a Mission Valley challenge on Thursday, April 28. Arroyo will face a Panthers squad coming off a 24-2 non-league win over Samueli Academy (Santa Ana, CA). The Panthers record now stands at 15-5.

With the loss, El Monte falls to 9-9 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Gabrielino (San Gabriel, CA) to face the Eagles in a Mission Valley challenge on Thursday, April 28. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 3-17. Gabrielino won 11-7 in their recent league challenge against Mountain View (El Monte, CA)
