Berry Cardinal (Charlotte, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host West Charlotte Lions (Charlotte, NC), 17-2 in a league challenge.

The Cardinal now own a 5-10 record.

With the loss, West Charlotte falls to 4-9 on the campaign. The Lions host North Mecklenburg (Huntersville, NC) to battle the Vikings in a Queen City 3A/4A challenge on Wednesday, April 27. The Vikings enter the challenge with a record of 8-6. North Mecklenburg lost 14-9 in their recent league challenge against Hopewell (Huntersville, NC)
