The Newton-Conover Red Devils softball team (Newton, NC), was routed 28-7 in Tuesday's league test with the host Bunker Hill Bears (Claremont, NC)

Coming up next, the Bears clash with the Bandys Trojans (Catawba, NC) in a Catawba Valley Athletic 2A test, on Friday, April 29. Bunker Hill will attempt to improve on its 2-14 season record. The Trojans come into the test with a 17-4 record after their 5-2 non-league loss to Hibriten (Lenoir, NC).

The Red Devils (0-13) will now prepare for their test against Maiden (Maiden, NC). The Blue Devils come into the Catawba Valley Athletic 2A test with a 12-7 record. In their last test, Maiden overcame Lincoln Charter (Denver, NC), 3-2, in a non-league test.
