Council Grove Braves (Council Grove, KS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Chapman Fighting Irish (Chapman, KS), 8-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Braves now own a 13-1 record. They take the field next when they host West Franklin for a Flint Hills challenge on Friday, April 29. Council Grove will face a Falcons squad coming off a 17-7 non-league win over Lebo (Lebo, KS). The Falcons record now stands at 8-6.

With the loss, Chapman falls to 6-8 on the campaign. The Fighting irish host Abilene (Abilene, KS) to face the Cowboys in a North Central Kansas challenge on Tuesday, May 3. The Cowboys enter the challenge with a record of 4-5.
