Dakota Cougars (Macomb, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Utica Eisenhower Eagles (Shelby Township, MI), 2-0 in a league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Utica for a Macomb Area - White challenge on Wednesday, April 27. Dakota will battle a Chieftains squad coming off a 10-0 league loss to Sterling Heights Stevenson (Sterling Heights, MI). The Chieftains record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Utica Eisenhower falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Chippewa Valley (Clinton Township, MI) to battle the Big Reds in a Macomb Area - Red challenge on Thursday, April 28. The Big Reds enter the challenge with a record of 0-3.
