East Lincoln Mustangs (Denver, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host St. Stephens Indians (Hickory, NC), 1-0 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 17-0 record. They take the field next when they host North Iredell for a Western Foothills 3A challenge on Friday, April 29. East Lincoln will face a Raiders squad coming off a 17-0 league win over Statesville (Statesville, NC). The Raiders record now stands at 6-12.

With the loss, St. Stephens falls to 12-7 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Statesville (Statesville, NC) to face the Greyhounds in a Western Foothills 3A challenge on Friday, April 29. The Greyhounds enter the challenge with a record of 0-13. Statesville lost 17-0 in their recent league challenge against North Iredell (Olin, NC)
