Northside Vikings (Roanoke, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Franklin County Eagles (Rocky Mount, VA), 9-1 in a league challenge.

The Vikings now own a 6-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fleming for a Blue Ridge challenge on Wednesday, April 27.

With the loss, Franklin County falls to 4-7 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Staunton River (Moneta, VA) to battle the Golden Eagles in a Blue Ridge challenge on Friday, April 29. The Golden Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 14-0. Staunton River won 3-2 in their recent league challenge against Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA)
