Mercy Crusaders (Burlingame, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host King's Academy Knights (Sunnyvale, CA), 12-0 in a league challenge.

The Crusaders now own a 12-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Notre Dame for a West Bay - Foothill challenge on Thursday, April 28. Mercy will face a Regents squad coming off a 7-2 non-league loss to Gunn (Palo Alto, CA). The Regents record now stands at 4-11.

With the loss, King's Academy falls to 11-10 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Notre Dame (Belmont, CA) to face the Tigers in a West Bay - Foothill challenge on Wednesday, April 27. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 13-1. Notre Dame won 21-0 in their recent league challenge against Castilleja (Palo Alto, CA)
