Virginia High School Soccer - Appomattox County knocks off Nelson County

Appomattox County Raiders (Appomattox, VA) supporters were pleased Wednesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Nelson County Governors (Lovingston, VA), 6-1 in a league challenge.
Next, the Raiders confront the Mecklenburg County Phoenix (Baskerville, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, May 1. Appomattox County will attempt to move on its 5-0 season record. The Phoenix enter the challenge with a 8-3 record after their 8-0 league win over Bassett (Bassett, VA).
The Governors now possess a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Altavista for a Dogwood challenge on Friday, May 5.
