Oak Grove Grizzlies (Winston-Salem, NC) fans were pleased Wednesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Asheboro Blue Comets (Asheboro, NC), 2-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Grizzlies confront the North Davidson Black Knights (Lexington, NC) in a Mid-Piedmont 3A challenge, on Monday, May 1. Oak Grove will attempt to better on its 11-1 season record. The Black Knights enter the challenge with a 9-3 record after their 6-0 league win over Montgomery Central (Troy, NC).

The Blue Comets now have a 7-4 record. They take the field next when they host Central Davidson for a Mid-Piedmont 3A challenge on Monday, May 1. Asheboro will confront a Spartans team coming off a 2-1 league win over Ledford (Thomasville, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 6-10.
