In Wednesday's non-league game, the host Johnston Panthers baseball team scored a tight 3-2 victory over the East Providence Townies.
The Panthers (2-1) will now prepare for their game against North Providence (North Providence, RI). The Cougars go into the non-league game with a 2-0 record.
The Townies (5-4) will now prepare for their game against Burrillville (Harrisville, RI). The Broncos go into the non-league game with a 2-2 record.
