Vinton County Vikings (McArthur, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Alexander Spartans (Albany, OH), 15-3 in a league challenge.

The Vikings now own a 9-6 record. They take the field next when they host Athens for a Tri-Valley - Ohio challenge on Friday, April 28. Vinton County will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 22-1 league win over Nelsonville-York (Nelsonville, OH). The Bulldogs record now stands at 19-0.

With the loss, Alexander falls to 6-12 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Federal Hocking (Stewart, OH) to face the Lancers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 27. The Lancers enter the challenge with a record of 2-14. Federal Hocking lost 16-3 in their recent league challenge against Waterford (Waterford, OH)
