Newton South Lions (Newton, MA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Boston Latin Wolfpack (Boston, MA), 13-6 in a league challenge.

The Lions now own a 7-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lincoln-Sudbury for a Dual County Large challenge on Friday, April 28.

With the loss, Boston Latin falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Wolfpack host Westford Academy (Westford, MA) to face the Grey Ghosts in a Dual County Large challenge on Friday, April 28. The Grey Ghosts enter the challenge with a record of 1-1.
