Cary Imps (Cary, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Green Level Gators (Cary, NC), 7-4 in a league challenge.

The Imps now own a 5-13 record. They take the field next when they host Apex Friendship for a Southwest Wake 4A challenge on Friday, April 28. Cary will battle a Patriots squad coming off a 9-6 league win over Middle Creek (Apex, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 10-5.

With the loss, Green Level falls to 4-11 on the campaign. The Gators travel to Panther Creek (Cary, NC) to battle the Catamounts in a Southwest Wake 4A challenge on Monday, May 1. The Catamounts enter the challenge with a record of 13-5. Panther Creek lost 16-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Wakefield (Raleigh, NC)
