Hononegah Indians (Rockton, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Freeport Pretzels (Freeport, IL), 7-4 in a league challenge.

The Indians now sport a 13-4 record. They take the field next when they host Guilford for a Northern Illinois NIC-9 challenge on Friday, April 28. Hononegah will face a Vikings squad coming off a 6-1 league loss to Belvidere North (Belvidere, IL). The Vikings record now stands at 5-7.

With the loss, Freeport falls to 9-4 on the campaign. The Pretzels travel to Belvidere (Belvidere, IL) to face the Bucs in a Northern Illinois NIC-9 challenge on Friday, April 28. The Bucs enter the challenge with a record of 7-6. Belvidere won 18-0 in their recent league challenge against Jefferson (Rockford, IL)
