Spectators at Wednesday's league match between the Peabody Veterans Memorial Tanners (Peabody, MA) and the visiting Gloucester Fishermen (Gloucester, MA), witnessed Peabody Veterans Memorial's softball squad tip Gloucester by a count of 5-2.

The Tanners now sport a 4-0 record. They play next when they host Beverly for a Northeast match on Friday, April 28.

With the loss, Gloucester moves to 6-4 on the season. The Fishermen travel to Salem (Salem, MA) to face the Witches in a Northeast match on Tuesday, May 2. The Witches go into the match with a record of 1-4.
