The crowd at Wednesday's league match between the Valhalla Norsemen (El Cajon, CA) and the host Grossmont Foothillers (El Cajon, CA), saw Valhalla's softball squad nip Grossmont by a count of 6-5.

The Norsemen now sport a 10-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Monte Vista for a Grossmont Valley match on Friday, April 28. Valhalla will face a Monarchs squad coming off a 13-2 league loss to Mount Miguel (Spring Valley, CA). The Monarchs record now stands at 4-8.

With the loss, Grossmont falls to 6-12 on the campaign. The Foothillers host Clairemont (San Diego, CA) to face the Chieftains in a non-league match on Thursday, April 27. The Chieftains enter the match with a record of 12-5. Clairemont won 10-2 in their recent league match against Mira Mesa (San Diego, CA)
