Ludlowe Falcons (Fairfield, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting St. Joseph Cadets (Trumbull, CT), 8-7 in a league challenge.

The Falcons now own a 10-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to McMahon for a Fairfield County challenge on Friday, April 28. Ludlowe will battle a Senators squad coming off a 2-1 league loss to Ridgefield (Ridgefield, CT). The Senators record now stands at 6-5.

With the loss, St. Joseph falls to 8-3 on the campaign. The Cadets host Norwalk (Norwalk, CT) to battle the Bears in a Fairfield County challenge on Friday, April 28. The Bears enter the challenge with a record of 6-5. Norwalk won 13-1 in their recent league challenge against Westhill (Stamford, CT)
