Saline Hornets (Saline, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Pinckney Pirates (Pinckney, MI), 7-2 in a league challenge.

The Hornets now own a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Pinckney for a Southeastern - White challenge on Wednesday, April 26. Saline will battle a Pirates squad coming off a 18-0 league win over Adrian (Adrian, MI). The Pirates record now stands at 8-1.
