Randolph-Henry Statesmen (Charlotte Court House, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Prince Edward County Eagles (Farmville, VA), 1-0 in a league challenge.

The Statesmen now own a 11-1 record. They take the field next when they host Lunenburg Central for a James River challenge on Thursday, April 27. Randolph-Henry will face a Chargers squad coming off a 7-0 league win over Amelia County (Amelia Court House, VA). The Chargers record now stands at 8-0.

With the loss, Prince Edward County falls to 0-11 on the campaign. The Eagles host Buckingham (Buckingham, VA) to face the Knights in a James River challenge on Thursday, April 27. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 7-3. Buckingham won 13-0 in their recent league challenge against Cumberland (Cumberland, VA)
