The Fuquay - Varina Bengals crushed the host Clayton Comets baseball team by a count of 7-1 in Friday's league bout.

The Bengals now possess a 12-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Willow Spring for a Greater Neuse River 4A bout on Tuesday, April 30. Fuquay - Varina will face a Storm team coming off a 11-5 league loss to Corinth Holders (Wendell, NC). The Storm record now stands at 10-11.
