North Carolina High School Baseball - Gates County gets by Perquimans

April 26, 2024: Hertford, NC 27944

Gates County Red Barons (Gatesville, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Perquimans Pirates (Hertford, NC), 5-3 in a league test.

With the win, Gates County upgrades its record to 14-7 on the season. The Red Barons host Tarboro (Tarboro, NC) to battle the Vikings in a Four Rivers 1A test on Tuesday, April 30. The Vikings come into the test with a record of 9-11. Tarboro lost 2-1 in their recent league test against Martin County (Williamston, NC)

With the defeat, Perquimans falls to 15-5 on the season. The Pirates host Riverside-Martin (Williamston, NC) to battle the Knights in a Four Rivers 1A test on Tuesday, April 30. The Knights come into the test with a record of 0-0.
