In Friday's non-league challenge, the West Laurens Raiders (Dexter, GA) baseball squad triumphed over the visiting Islands Sharks (Savannah, GA), by a final score of 7-1.

With the win, West Laurens upgrades its record to 20-10 on the season. The Raiders travel to Troup County (LaGrange, GA) to battle the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 1. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 19-12. Troup County won 7-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Shaw (Columbus, GA)

With the defeat, Islands falls to 21-12 on the season.
