Belmont Cardinals (Belmont, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Mooreville Troopers (Mooreville, MS), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Cardinals now own a 16-17 record.

With the loss, Mooreville falls to 8-17 on the campaign.
