Hueytown Golden Gophers (Hueytown, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Bessemer City Tigers (Bessemer, AL), 16-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Golden Gophers now own a 7-18 record. They take the field next when they host McAdory for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 27. Hueytown will battle a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 8-4 non-league win over Hueytown (Hueytown, AL). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 22-12.

With the loss, Bessemer City falls to 3-9 on the campaign.
