Bigelow Panthers (Bigelow, AR) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Poyen Indians (Poyen, AR), 5-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 15-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Magnet Cove for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 27. Bigelow will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 8-7 non-league win over Central Arkansas Christian (North Little Rock, AR). The Panthers record now stands at 19-5.

With the loss, Poyen falls to 12-5 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Mt. Vernon-Enola (Mt. Vernon, AR) to battle the Warhawks in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 2. The Warhawks enter the challenge with a record of 12-5.
