Downingtown West Whippets (Downingtown, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Bishop Shanahan Eagles (Downingtown, PA), 9-3 in a league challenge.

The Whippets now own a 14-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Coatesville for a Ches-Mont challenge on Monday, April 29. Downingtown West will battle a Red Raiders squad coming off a 18-8 league win over Henderson (West Chester, PA). The Red Raiders record now stands at 5-8.

With the loss, Bishop Shanahan falls to 2-6 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Avon Grove (West Grove, PA) to battle the Red Devils in a Ches-Mont challenge on Monday, April 29. The Red Devils enter the challenge with a record of 7-5. Avon Grove lost 2-0 in their recent league challenge against Downingtown East (Exton, PA)
