Cave Spring Knights (Roanoke, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Patrick Henry Patriots (Roanoke, VA), 18-3 in a league challenge.

The Knights now own a 10-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Franklin County for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 29. Cave Spring will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 6-5 league win over Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 9-3.

With the loss, Patrick Henry falls to 1-15 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Pulaski County (Dublin, VA) to battle the Cougars in a River Ridge challenge on Tuesday, April 30. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 5-10. Pulaski County lost 6-3 in their recent league challenge against Hidden Valley (Roanoke, VA)
