Gridley Bulldogs (Gridley, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Corning Cardinals (Corning, CA), 10-4 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 8-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Oroville for a Butte View challenge on Tuesday, April 30. Gridley will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 6-0 league loss to Orland (Orland, CA). The Tigers record now stands at 9-8.

With the loss, Corning falls to 6-16 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Las Plumas (Oroville, CA) to battle the Thunderbirds in a Butte View challenge on Tuesday, April 30. The Thunderbirds enter the challenge with a record of 16-4. Las Plumas won 14-0 in their recent league challenge against Gridley (Gridley, CA)
