Eastern Alamance Eagles (Mebane, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Person Rockets (Roxboro, NC), 7-1 in a league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 12-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Southern Alamance for a Central 3A challenge on Tuesday, April 30. Eastern Alamance will face a Patriots squad coming off a 8-4 league win over Orange (Hillsborough, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 17-3.

With the loss, Person falls to 4-13 on the campaign. The Rockets host Western Alamance (Elon, NC) to face the Warriors in a Central 3A challenge on Tuesday, April 30. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 5-12. Western Alamance lost 4-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Rockingham County (Wentworth, NC)
