In Friday's non-league contest, the Fort Hill Sentinels (Cumberland, MD) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Mountain Ridge Miners (Frostburg, MD), by a margin of 16-6.

With the triumph, Fort Hill moves its record to 6-5 on the year. The Sentinels travel to Hancock (Hancock, MD) to play the Panthers in a non-league contest on Saturday, April 27. The Panthers come into the contest with a record of 4-7. Hancock lost 16-6 in their recent non-league contest against Forbes Road (Waterfall, PA)

In their next game, the Miners play the Goretti Gael (Hagerstown, MD) in a non-league contest, on Monday, April 29. Mountain Ridge will attempt to move on its 1-5 season record. The Gael come into the contest with a 4-6 record after their 15-1 non-league loss to Spring Mills (Martinsburg, WV).
