Gibson County Pioneers (Dyer, TN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Peabody Golden Tide (Trenton, TN), 9-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Pioneers now own a 5-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Milan for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 27. Gibson County will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 8-7 non-league loss to University School of Jackson (Jackson, TN). The Bulldogs record now stands at 6-14.

With the loss, Peabody falls to 8-12 on the campaign. The Golden tide host Dresden (Dresden, TN) to face the Lions in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 29. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 13-0. Dresden won 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Union City (Union City, TN)
