Schuylerville Horses (Schuylerville, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Queensbury Spartans (Queensbury, NY), 7-5 in a league challenge.

The Horses now own a 8-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Troy for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 27. Schuylerville will face a Flying Horses squad coming off a 23-0 league win over Schenectady (Schenectady, NY). The Flying Horses record now stands at 5-6.

With the loss, Queensbury falls to 6-8 on the campaign. The Spartans host Broadalbin-Perth (Broadalbin, NY) to face the Patriots in a Section 2 Foothills challenge on Monday, April 29. The Patriots enter the challenge with a record of 5-6. Broadalbin-Perth won 15-2 in their recent league challenge against Gloversville (Gloversville, NY)
