The Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane (Fitzgerald, GA) baseball trounced the visiting Lamar County Trojans (Barnesville, GA), 12-2 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

The Purple Hurricane now own a 18-15 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bleckley County for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 1. Fitzgerald will clash with a Royals team coming off a 14-1 non-league win over East Laurens (East Dublin, GA). The Royals record now stands at 22-9.

With the defeat, Lamar County drops to 17-16 on the year.
