The crowd at Saturday's non-league battle between the Grassfield Grizzlies (Chesapeake, VA) and the host Woodside Wolverines (Newport News, VA), saw Grassfield's baseball team gain a win over Woodside by a tally of 11-0.

The Grizzlies (10-5) will now prepare for their battle against King's Fork (Suffolk, VA). The Bulldogs enter the Southeastern battle with a 4-6 record. In their last battle, King's Fork was overwhelmed by Hickory (Chesapeake, VA), 22-4, in a league battle.

Next, the Wolverines face the Menchville Monarchs (Newport News, VA) in a Peninsula battle, on Tuesday, April 29. Woodside will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Monarchs enter the battle with a 7-4 record after their 3-2 league loss to Gloucester (Gloucester, VA).
