Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Venice Gondoliers (Los Angeles, CA) and the visiting Grant Lancers (Van Nuys, CA), observed Venice's volleyball team hold off Grant by a tally of 1-0.

The Gondoliers (31-5) will now prepare for their contest against Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences (Granada Hills, CA). The Vipers enter the non-league contest with a 16-5 record. In their last contest, Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences was tipped by Vaughn (San Fernando, CA), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Lancers meet the Sylmar Spartans (Sylmar, CA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, April 26. Grant will attempt to upgrade on its 27-5 season record. The Spartans enter the contest with a 19-12 record after their 3-0 league win over Canoga Park (Canoga Park, CA).
