In Saturday's league match, the visiting Crater Comets softball team scored a nice 24-1 victory over the Churchill Lancers.

The Comets (8-6) will now prepare for their match against Thurston (Springfield, OR). The Colts go into the 5A Midwestern match with a 12-4 record. In their last match, Thurston gained a win over Eagle Point (Eagle Point, OR), 17-7, in a league match.

In their next game, the Lancers battle the Springfield Millers (Springfield, OR) in a 5A Midwestern match, on Tuesday, April 29. Churchill will attempt to better on its 5-12 season record. The Millers go into the match with a 4-10 record after their 10-4 league loss to Ashland (Ashland, OR).
