The crowd at Saturday's league bout between the De La Salle Meteors (Chicago, IL) and the visiting St. Francis Spartans (Wheaton, IL), observed De La Salle's softball team get by St. Francis by a tally of 9-3.

The Meteors (17-5) will now prepare for their bout against Mother McAuley (Chicago, IL). The Mighty Macs go into the non-league bout with a 6-9 record. In their last bout, Mother McAuley was routed by Joliet Catholic (Joliet, IL), 11-1, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Spartans clash with the IC Catholic Prep Knights (Elmhurst, IL) in a GCAC-White bout, on Tuesday, April 29. St. Francis will attempt to advance on its 14-4 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 12-8 record after their 7-6 non-league win over Saint Viator (Arlington Heights, IL).
