The Normal University Pioneers baseball team scored 10 runs and limited the host Rochester Rockets to 0 in the Pioneers league victory on Wednesday.
The Pioneers (16-5) will now prepare for their match against Springfield (Springfield, IL). The Senators go into the Central State Eight match with a 15-8 record. In their last match, Springfield was overwhelmed by Washington (Washington, IL), 18-11, in a non-league match.
The Rockets (9-10) will now prepare for their match against Mahomet-Seymour (Mahomet, IL). The Bulldogs go into the non-league match with a 13-3 record. In their last match, Mahomet-Seymour ran past Taylorville (Taylorville, IL), 18-1, in a league match.
