North Carolina High School Baseball - Queen's Grant nips Piedmont Community Charter

In Wednesday's league challenge, the Queen's Grant Stallions (Matthews, NC) baseball squad nipped the visiting Piedmont Community Charter Patriots (Gastonia, NC), by a margin of 5-4.

With the win, Queen's Grant betters its record to 7-6 on the season. The Stallions travel to Carolina International (Concord, NC) to encounter the Comets in a Metro Eight 1A challenge on Thursday, April 28. The Comets come into the challenge with a record of 4-11. Carolina International won 21-11 in their recent non-league challenge against West Charlotte (Charlotte, NC)

With the defeat, Piedmont Community Charter falls to 7-8 on the season. The Patriots travel to Bradford Prep (Charlotte, NC) to encounter the Bears in a Metro Eight 1A challenge on Thursday, April 28. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 10-9. Bradford Prep won 3-0 in their recent league challenge against Corvian Community (Charlotte, NC)
